The RA-10 is a multipurpose research reactor located at the Ezeiza Atomic Center, designed for the production of radioisotopes and the provision of technological and industrial services.

  • Thermal Power: 30MW.
  • Operating cycle: 29.5 continuous days.
  • Fuel: Low-enrichment uranium (LEU), MTR type, Uranium Silicide.
  • Coolant & Moderator: Light water.
  • Reflector: Heavy water.
  • Core Cooling: Upward flow direction.
  • Two diverse and independent shutdown systems.
  • Molybdenum-99 production > 2,000 Ci/Week (6-day Ci).

  • Total Built-up area: 17.723,52 m2 (from -8,8 m to + 26,5 m).

    • The Neutron Guide Building.
    • The Services Building.
