About us
One of the historical research labs of Centro Atómico Bariloche of the CNEA, this group has over 65 years of experience studying the physical properties of materials at low temperatures. Our research focuses on several areas of condensed matter physics, including superconductivity and strongly correlated electronic systems. Using various experimental techniques at low temperatures and in strong magnetic fields, we study the electronic, magnetic, and transport properties of these materials. Many of these materials are synthesized as single crystals or thin films in our laboratory. Our research lines includes basic studies of the physical properties of these materials, as well as explorations on their potential for specific technological applications. To conduct our research, we operate and maintain the cryogenic production facility of liquid helium and nitrogen that provides liquid helium and nitrogen to the entire Centro Atómico Bariloche.
