Epidemiological Situation Status in Argentina
Senasa informs the analysis diagnosed by its National Laboratory to samples sent from the different provinces.
Buenos Aires, March 22nd, 2023 - The National Service for Agri-food Health and Quality (Senasa) confirmed 2 new positive cases of Avian Influenza (IA) H5 in backyard birds in Buenos Aires (General Conesa) and Chubut (Rawson) Provinces in samples analyzed today by its National Laboratory. This way, from more than 300 analyzed notifications up-to-date, the detections of the disease are a total of 63 throughout the country.
The confirmed cases are in backyard birds (52), poultry sector (7) and wild birds (4), distributed as follows: 18 in Cordoba, 16 in Buenos Aires, 7 in Neuquen, 7 in Santa Fe, 5 in Rio Negro, 2 in San Luis, 2 in Chaco, 2 in La Pampa, 1 in Jujuy, 1 on Santiago del Estero, 1 in Salta and 1 in Chubut.
Buenos Aires, March 21st, 2023 - The National Service for Agri-food Health and Quality (Senasa) confirmed a new positive case of Avian Influenza (IA) H5 in backyard birds in Río Negro Province (Guardia Mitre) in samples analyzed today by its National Laboratory. This way, from more than 300 analyzed notifications up-to-date, the detections of the disease are a total of 61 throughout the country.
The confirmed cases are in backyard birds (50), poultry sector (7) and wild birds (4), distributed as follows: 18 in Cordoba, 15 in Buenos Aires, 7 in Neuquen, 7 in Santa Fe, 5 in Rio Negro, 2 in San Luis, 2 in Chaco, 2 in La Pampa, 1 in Jujuy, 1 in Santiago del Estero and 1 in Salta.

In that way, up-to-date 55 out of more than 300 analized notifications by the Senasa Laboratory are confirmed cases in backyard birds (45), wild birds (4) and commercial sector (6) distributed as follows: 18 in Cordoba, 13 in Buenos Aires, 6 in Neuquen, 6 in Santa Fe, 4 in Rio Negro, 2 in San Luis, 2 in Chaco, 1 in Jujuy, 1 in Santiago del Estero, 1 in Salta and 1 in La Pampa.
