Posse and Caputo received executives from the mining company Rio Tinto at Casa Rosada
The company expressed its expectation for the direction of the government and positively assessed the economic reforms and legislative and fiscal initiatives that will allow to promote and incentivize investments.
The Chief of Staff, Nicolás Posse, and the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, received officials from the mining company Rio Tinto to analyze the government's measures to open the economy and investment opportunities in the mining sector.
During the meeting, the company's executives expressed their expectation for the government's direction and interest in expanding their investments in the country. They also expressed the interest generated by Argentina among international companies and positively assessed the government's measures, both fiscal initiatives and those contemplated in the Bases and Starting Points for the Freedom of the Argentines law project to restructure the economy and promote investments in the country.
Representing Rio Tinto, in the meeting participated the executive director, Jakob Stausholm; CEO of Minerals, Sinead Kaufman; managing director of the Rincón lithium project in Argentina, Guillermo Caló; and its director of External Affairs for Latin America, Paula Uribe.
Rio Tinto is a multinational mining sector business group headquartered in London, United Kingdom, with over 30,000 employees globally. In Argentina, they are carrying out the lithium project Rincón.
