Posse and Caputo received directors of the Italian electricity company EnEl

At the meeting, at Casa Rosada, the representatives of the firm expressed their expectations for the direction of the Government and the economic reforms that are being carried out, especially regarding the deregulations proposed in the Bases and Starting Points for the Freedom of the Argentines law project for the energy sector.

The Chief of Staff, Nicolás Posse, and the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, received representatives of the EnEl firm today at Casa Rosada, who expressed their positive expectations for the reforms that the Argentine Government is carrying out, as well as by the direction of the economy and, especially, by the proposals for the energy sector of the new Bases law project that will be sent to Congress. Deregulation and the future of the sector represent a great challenge after years of mismanagement that led to a lack of investment and development.

In the meeting representing EnEl participated Flavio Cattaneo, global CEO of EnEl; Claudio Weyne Cunha, manager of Argentina; Alejandra Martínez, director of External Relations; and Juan Carlos Blanco, president of Edesur.

EnEl is a multinational company that produces and distributes electricity and gas, whose main shareholder is the Italian State. Its activities are focused mainly on the markets of Europe and Latin America. In the country, it has “El Chocón” hydroelectric plant, the Edesur distributor, and the interconnection lines with Brazil and gas lines with Chile.
