The Government signed with Tucumán the transfer of public works to the province

These are framework agreements for collaboration in public works and housing.

The Chief of Staff, Guillermo Francos, and the Governor of Tucumán, Osvaldo Jaldo, held a meeting this afternoon at Casa Rosada where the signing of two framework agreements for collaboration in public works and housing took place. They contemplate the transfer to the province of various works that were previously under the responsibility of the national government.

At the meeting, during which the Chief of Staff and the Governor discussed issues related to national and provincial development, the following officials were present: the Deputy Chief of Staff for the Interior, Lisandro Catalán; the Secretary of Provinces and Municipalities, Javier Milano; the Secretary of Public Works, Luis Giovine; the head of ENOHSA, Bartolomé Heredia; the Secretary of Territorial Development, Habitat, and Housing, Rodrigo Aybar; and the Deputy Secretary of Habitat and Housing, Santiago Sánchez Sorondo.

According to the agreements signed between the relevant areas of the national Government and the Tucumán government, the province assumes the financing and/or execution of a series of housing, road, water, sanitation, and urban improvement projects, as well as routes and roads, among others.

In this way, Tucumán joins today Entre Ríos, Jujuy, Chaco, Río Negro, and Neuquén, which days ago signed similar agreements by which these provinces accept the transfer of a set of public works previously under the responsibility of the national Government.

Also present were the Minister of Economy and Production of Tucumán, Daniel Abad, and his counterpart from Tucumán's Ministry of Interior, Darío Monteros.
