Davos: last day with companies and interest in expanding investments in Argentina

Prior to returning to the country, the Chief of Staff, Nicolás Posse, together with the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, received representatives of multinational companies from the food and agribusiness sector, with interest in expanding investments and operations in the country. They also presented the economic reforms in the country and their scope to attract investments.

On the second and last day of participation of the official delegation in the World Economic Forum based in Davos, the Chief of Staff, Nicolás Posse, together with the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, held meetings with managers and representatives of the food and agroindustry sector.

Likewise, they were part of the Economic Leaders Forum (IGWEL), which was moderated by the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva. There, the Argentine delegation shared the economic reforms promoted by the Argentine Government under the leadership of President Javier Milei and their impact in simplifying, facilitating and promoting investments in local projects.

The meetings on the day's agenda were with directors of Nestlé, a world leader in food, where the desire to expand the volume of investments and exports was expressed. After that, Posse, Caputo and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Diana Mondino, met with the multinational agribusiness Cargill.

Later, National Government officials attended a lunch on foreign policy organized by the Washington Post newspaper, in which several world leaders were present, like Queen Máxima of the Netherlands; the President of Israel, Isaac Herzog; from Latvia, Edgars Rinkēvičs; from Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturian; the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriákos Mitsotákis; the President of the European Central Bank, Christine Lagarde; and former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, among others.

During the encounter, Caputo was invited to speak about the economic reforms that Argentina is carrying out and about the worst inheritance in history received by President Milei. In this sense, the Minister highlighted the need to return to the bases of the ideas of freedom that made the country, 100 years ago, become the most important economy in the world.

Likewise, Caputo referred to the importance of bringing order to fiscal numbers to achieve stability and deregulate the economy to generate growth. In this way, after the Minister's presentation, the leaders expressed that the entire world is observing with optimism the reforms that are being implemented in Argentina.

Once the round of meetings was over, the return of the delegation to Buenos Aires began, with a scheduled arrival tomorrow, Friday, at the Ezeiza airport at 07:55, local time.
